Dream Big, Start Small

Sometimes it feels like you just can’t win.

You’re told to dream big and go after what you want—but when you commit to the bit you either go too hard, too fast and burn yourself out…

or you feel so overwhelmed by all of the steps that have to happen, it doesn’t feel worth it to even try.

And sure, people tell you to just break it down into manageable steps…

but you still have to do those steps.

And the truth is, you’re having a hard time even getting yourself to sit at your table or set up an altar for your creative hobbies and spiritual practice.

It feels like it should be so simple and easy.

So why is it so freaking hard?

Here’s what I’ve observed as a coach these last few years, who works with neurodivergent, sensitive, creative people with big hearts…

Disappointment stops you in your tracks.

You were taught not to dream big by people who were probably trying to keep you safe from experiencing disappointment

(because you’re sensitive, so you probably “couldn’t handle it”)

so when you inevitably experience disappointment along the way of bringing your vision to life it’s painful, glaring evidence that “they were right” and “People like me don’t get to do the things they dream of.”

You turn your disappointment into proof that your vision is impossible… when it’s actually just evidence that you’re showing up.

So what can you do about that?

That’s exactly the question I respond to in my latest YouTube video. Tune into this teaching below.
